July 1, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from July 1, 2025, the retirement age for women in Azerbaijan is 64 years and 6 months.

ABC.AZ informs that the retirement age for women was last increased on July 1, 2024, by 6 months and amounted to 64 years.

Currently, the retirement age for men is 65.

According to Article 7 of the Law on Labor Pensions, the retirement age for men from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2021 increases annually by 6 months, and for women - from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2027 also increases annually by 6 months.

In accordance with Article 7 of the Law on Labor Pensions, the pension capital registered in the insurance part of the personal account of a person who has reached retirement age allows for pension provision of at least the minimum amount of a labor pension, regardless of insurance experience, and if this pension provision does not allow, then if you have at least 25 years of insurance experience (the exceptions are persons who have been awarded an old-age pension before July 1, 2017) are eligible for an old-age pension.
