June 5, Fineko/abc.az. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the British Council, an analogue of the German Goethe Institute, an "undesirable organization".

"The British Council, under the guise of educational and cultural activities, promotes long-term British interests and values in the field of education, culture and youth policy under the pretext of teaching English," reads a statement posted on Thursday, June 5, on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
