June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The duties imposed by President Donald Trump have led to a decrease in export orders and business activity of American manufacturers. Some companies are comparing the situation to the pandemic crisis of 2020.

ABC.AZ reports that the index of export orders fell to its lowest level since COVID-19 in May and continues to decline for the third month in a row. Manufacturers complain about supply disruptions and uncertainty caused by tariff policy. The index of business activity in industry also decreased to 48.5%.

The judicial struggle over the legality of the duties adds to the instability: some of them were declared illegal, but soon restored.
