Infrastructure of electric vehicles to develop in this form

June 3, Fineko/abc.az. The tax relief applicable to the import of electric vehicles into the country expires in January 2026. Relevant proposals to reduce carbon emissions will be prepared and submitted to the government. The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has developed and is implementing a roadmap for development of electric vehicle infrastructure.

ABC.AZ informs that this was announced at panel discussion on the theme "Development of infrastructure for electric vehicles in Azerbaijan", organized at the 22nd Caspian International Exhibition of Transport, Transit and Logistics within the Baku Energy Week, said Vusal Abbasov, the head of the Department of State Programs Management at AYNA.

He said that AYNA is implementing a range of measures to promote electric vehicles and is working on infrastructure projects.

 Abbasov noted that Azerrnerji is increasing the number of charging points for electric vehicles in country’s districts:

"The state introduces preferential taxes on the import of electric chargers. And their spare parts are exempt from taxes. The purpose of those measures is to allow electric vehicle users to travel freely to districts of the country."
