June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan plans to develop its own ultralight launch vehicle, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Andrei Lukin, a member of the Senate of the Parliament.

The new rocket will be able to put up to 500 kg of payload into orbit and will be economical to maintain.

According to the MP, the project is in line with global trends - the growing demand for small satellites and cubesats. American rocket Electron from Rocket Lab, which is actively used for orbital launches, is considered as an analog.
