June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Google has announced an increase in the volume of displayed ads in the YouTube Premium Lite subscription for $8 per month.

ABC.AZ reports that this became known from a letter from the corporation to subscribers. From June 30, 2025, ads will appear in Shorts, previously they were displayed only in music content.

The launch of Premium Lite for YouTube took place in March of this year. Unlike YouTube Premium, the new subscription lacks a number of advantages of the full version for $14 per month. In particular, users are unable to download videos and view content in the background. Also, Premium Lite owners do not have access to YouTube Music.
