June 2, Fineko/abc.az. Global aviation will continue to increase in 2025, despite slowdown in global GDP up to 2.5%.
ABC.AZ reports that according to IATA's forecast, industry's net profit will grow from $32.4 billion up to $36 billion, and revenue will reach a record of $979 billion.
It is linked with lower fuel prices ($86 per barrel) and maximum flight load (84%).
The largest absolute profit growth is expected in North America, and demand will increase most dynamically in the Asia-Pacific region due to the lifting of visa restrictions and development of tourism. Despite geopolitics and slowdown in China, airlines note stable demand. India, the third largest market with growth of 8-10% per year, can become a key driver if travel volumes match those of China.
