May 27, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, excise tax receipts in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.555 billion manats, with forecast of 1.553 billion manats (2.7 million manats or 0.2% more than forecast), which is also 103.5 million manats (or 7.1%) more than in 2023.

ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the Bill on Execution of State Budget 2024.

According to the budget materials, 1.35 billion manats or 86.9% of the received finances accounted for the excise tax on internal transactions, and 204.4 million manats or 13.1% accounted for customs authorities.

Excise taxes in the oil & gas sector totaled 674 million manats, the target was fulfilled by 97.6%, an increase of 0.7% compared to 2023. The lag behind the plan for the oil & gas sector is linked with the lower than predicted volume of production and sales of petroleum products in the country.

Revenues from excise taxes in the non-oil/gas sector amounted to 677.3 million manats, the planned target was fulfilled by 101.3%, an increase of 21.3% compared to 2023.
