German court sentences former Volkswagen top managers to prison terms in Dieselgate case

May 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Braunschweig District Court has sentenced four ex-Volkswagen executives found guilty of manipulating diesel engine emissions.

ABC.AZ informs that former head of diesel engine development Jens Hudler received 4.5 years in prison, and ex-chief technology officer Hanno Yelden - 2 years and 7 months. Two more, former board member Heinz-Jakob Neusser and top manager Torsten D., received suspended sentences.

The investigation into the case of 31 other defendants is ongoing.
