May 8, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2025, 55.97 million manats of value-added tax (VAT) paid for the purchase of goods in retail and catering facilities (excluding petroleum products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for rendered medical services, were refunded to consumers in Azerbaijan.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Tax Service that in addition, the VAT Refund Project continues to refund part of the tax paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by wire transfer from construction companies. In the first 4 months of 2025, the amount of VAT refunded on such transactions totaled 10.74 million manats.
