April 11, Fineko/abc.az. Since April 22, the Georgian government has imposed a duty on sugar imports: for imports of more than 100 kg, 40 tetris per kg, that is, 400 lari per ton.

ABC.AZ reports that the order will be valid for a year, until April 22, 2026.

The duties will not apply to goods with preferential certificate of origin, that is, those produced in a country with which Georgia has a trade agreement providing for zero import tariffs.
