April 11, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the trade turnover between Moldova and Azerbaijan amounted to $12 million. Moldova mainly exports wine, fruits, dried fruits, meat and meat products to Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Deputy PM of Moldova, Minister of Infrastructure & Regional Development Vladimir Bolea.

He noted that both countries have great economic potential and trade turnover can be doubled.

"Moldova considers Azerbaijan a reliable trading partner and is interested in further expanding economic ties," Bolea said.

The Deputy PM noted that Moldova is an agrarian country, and Azerbaijan is also at the stage of agricultural development: "This fact gives us a reason to increase export and import operations, to acquire new markets and investments."
