A meeting held between reps of AZAL and a delegation from Moldova

April 11, Fineko/abc.az. A meeting has been held between Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) JSC and a delegation from the Republic of Moldova.

ABC.AZ informs that the meeting was attended by AZAL president Samir Rzayev, Moldovan Deputy PM, Minister of Infrastructure & Regional Development, co-chairof the Azerbaijani-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission Vladimir Bolea, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Azerbaijan Alexander Yesaulenko, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, as well as representatives of AZAL and Moldova.

During the meeting, AZAL President Samir Rzayev said that due to the growing demand, the number of Baku-Chisinau-Baku flights has been increased to 5 times a week since April 2025. And in May of this year, it is planned to increase it up to 7 times, that is, to daily flights.

Regular flights via Baku–Chisinau–Baku route began in September 2023. In 2024, 189 flights were operated in this direction and 49,636 passengers were transported. Over Jan-Mar 2025, 51 flights were performed, carrying 12,180 passengers.
