April 8, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union (EU) will soon release a decision on whether Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Meta Platforms, formerly known as Facebook (NASDAQ:META), violated key technology regulations designed to limit their market dominance. This information was shared by the head of the antimonopoly authority, Teresa Ribera, during a meeting with lawmakers of the European Parliament on Tuesday.

The European Commission has been investigating the activities of Apple and Meta since March last year. The purpose of the investigation is to identify potential violations of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). This legislation defines a number of permitted and prohibited actions for technology giants in order to stimulate competition and provide consumers with more choice.

Ribera previously told the media that her decision on Apple and Meta will be published in March. However, she has now stated that the process will take a little longer.
