April 7, Fineko/abc.az. In Georgia, revenues of the IT sector have fallen amid the outflow of specialists from Russia and Belarus.
ABC.AZ reports that in 2024, this figure reached $688 million (12% less than a year earlier), according to a report by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
By 2021, close to 30,000 people were employed in the IT sector in the country, the industry's income was estimated at $153 million. In 2022, after the start of its work, the number of specialists increased by 10,000 "IT specialists" mainly from the Russian Federation, as well as Belarus. By the end of 2023, the number of people working in the IT sector in Georgia was 48,000 people.
