April 7, Fineko/abc.az. The number of asylum applications in Germany decreased by 41% in the 1st quarter, placing Germany in the 3rd place in the EU after France and Spain, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Welt am Sonntag.

France became the leader, where 40,871 applications were submitted from January 1 to March 31 of this year.
Spain is in 2nd place with 39,318 refugee applications, followed by Germany, which submitted 37,387 applications in the 1st quarter of 2025.
Slovakia (37 asylum applications) and Hungary (22 applications) were at the end of the list, where the authorities have particularly strict migration policy.
