Volkswagen is going to raise prices

April 4, Fineko/abc.az. German carmaker Volkswagen has announced plans to raise prices for its cars supplied to the U.S. in response to imposition of 25% duties on imported cars.

ABC.AZ reports, citing news agency Bloomberg, that according to company representatives, Volkswagen will become the first automaker to include new customs duties in the selling prices of its products in the American market.

Hildegard Mueller, who heads German automotive lobby VDA, called Donald Trump's decision a radical change in trade policy that will negatively affect all market participants.She addde that  American consumers will eventually suffer from the tariff increase, faced with rising prices and a reduced choice of cars.
