April 3, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia cannot be in the EAEU and the EU simultaneously, so Yerevan will have to choose, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Russian Deputy FM Mikhayil Galuzin.

"We are convinced that it is impossible to be in two multidirectional associations simultaneously, like the EAEU and the EU," Galuzin said.

Russian Deputy FM noted that the EAEU is a union of equal entities, whereas in the EU "stick discipline reigns, subordinated to anti-Russian narratives".

"It is up to the official Yerevan to decide where it is better to be," Galuzin stressed.

At the same time, the diplomat expressed a hope that the Armenian people would be informed of the advantages they would lose if they left the EAEU.

On March 26, the Armenian parliament adopted in the final reading a draft law on the republic's intention to join the EU.

Notably, on March 27, Russian Deputy PM Alexei Overchuk said that Yerevan "will not be able to sit on two chairs" and will have to make a choice between the EAEU and the EU.
