Major Chinese airlines to purchase dozens of COMAC C919 airliners

April 3, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, China's largest airlines - Air China, China Eastern and China Southern, known as the "big three" - will significantly increase the number of Comac C919 aircrafts. Each of them will receive 10-12 new narrow-body airliners. ABC.AZ informs that China Eastern, which was the first to operate the C919 and now has 10 such aircrafts, will increase their number to 20. Air China will bring its C919 fleet to 13, and China Southern to 15. In the next two years, 2026 and 2027, the companies will continue to receive 10 aircrafts annually, which will make the C919 an important part of their fleet.

Manufacturer Comac plans to deliver at least 30 C919 aircrafts in 2025 and increase production to 50 airliners per year. The Big Three are the key customers of this program, each of them has ordered 100 aircraft. Comac C919 is a modern narrow-body aircraft that competes with Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.
