April 2, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese startup DeepSeek has become the fastest-growing artificial intelligence tool in the world, surpassing OpenAI's ChatGPT in terms of the number of new website visits per month.

ABC.AZ informs that according to AI analytics platform aitools.xyz, which tracks more than 10,500 AI tools in 171 categories, DeepSeek registered 524.7 million new visits in February 2025, which exceeds 500 million visits to the ChatGPT website.

Despite its rapid growth, DeepSeek remains the third largest AI tool after ChatGPT and Canva.

Data from aitools.xyz shows that DeepSeek's market share increased from 2.34% to 6.58% in February, indicating a rapid increase in global recognition.

DeepSeek chatbot registered 792.6 million visits from 136.5 million unique users.

The report says that India ranked fourth among the main sources of DeepSeek traffic, providing 43.36 million visits per month. As a whole, the AI industry recorded 12.05 billion visits in February, with 3.06 billion unique visitors interacting with AI tools.

According to aitools.xyz, DeepSeek held a 12.12% share of the chatbot market in February, second only to ChatGPT.
