SDA to acquire 54 new satellites for system Iron Dome for America

February 24, Fineko/abc.az. The United States Space Development Agency (SDA), part of the US Space Force, plans to purchase an additional 54 satellites for the rocket tracking system, which the agency intends to deploy in low-Earth orbit.

ABC.AZ reports that this program is a key element of the missile defense strategy, informally called "Iron Dome for America".

At that, the agency is working on re-tendering the contract for 10 satellites, after an audit by the Ministry of the Air Force revealed irregularities in the initial contract award process.
