Alibaba invests more than $52 bn in AI

February 24, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese company Alibaba plans to invest at least 380 bn yuans ($52.44 bn) in the creation of cloud platforms and artificial intelligence infrastructure over the next three years, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming.

According to Alibaba, total investments exceed company's spending on AI and cloud computing over the past decade.

The company began 2025 as the winner in the artificial intelligence race in China, attracting investors with strategic business deals. According to the latest data, its shares have grown more than by 68% this year.

At the end of January, Alibaba Cloud (Alibaba's "daughter") introduced a new AI model, Qwen2.5-Max. It is claimed to be superior to the Deep Seek system.
