February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Apple has chosen Alibaba for creation of new artificial intelligence features for iPhone in China. This step is aimed at improving company's sales in the Chinese market.

ABC.AZ informs that it turns out that Apple has decided to abandon DeepSeek models in favor of cooperation with Alibaba.

This decision is linked with falling sales of iPhone in China, which forced the company to look for more attractive features for local users.

Sources claim that Apple began testing various AI models from Chinese developers in 2023. Last year, the company selected Baidu as its main partner, but progress has been insufficient. Cooperation with Baidu ran into problems, and Apple began to consider alternative options.

Among them were Tencent, ByteDance, and DeepSeek, but the latter was unable to provide the necessary resources and expertise to work with large clients. As a result, Apple opted for Alibaba, which caused a sharp rise in the shares of both companies on the stock market. At that, Baidu shares fell more than by 4%, reflecting a setback in their collaboration with Apple.
