Google has published an updated list of principles for the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, removing promises not to use its AI products to develop weapons and spy on people. The new principles are posted on the official profile website Google AI.
ABC.AZ informs that there are no direct formulations relating to weapons or surveillance technologies in the updated list of principles. In it, the company only promises to comply with "generally accepted principles of international law and human rights". Two Google executives posted a statement on company's official blog in which the authors commented on the update of the principles of using AI in the company. They pointed to the rapidly changing "geopolitical landscape" and the increasing competition in the field of technology, without mentioning the issues of weapons and surveillance.
