February 4, Fineko/abc.az. "Because of suspected violations of the antimonopoly law of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation has launched an investigation against Google," ABC.AZ reports, referring to the SAMR.
The details of the investigation are not disclosed. In China, the services of the American corporation Gmail, Google Maps, Google Play and YouTube are blocked. The Chinese authorities claimed that Google refused to comply with the requirements for monitoring politically sensitive content. At that, Google's Android operating system is allowed in China, and almost all Chinese smartphones run on it. On February 4, the 10% U.S. tariff on all Chinese exports went into effect. After that, China filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization about the American tax measures.
