February 3, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 5 years, Azerbaijan imported 374,148 automobiles.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Media Analysis Center that the lowest import of cars during this period was recorded in 2020 (49,692 cars), that was linked with interruptions in foreign trade relations because of the pandemic.

The highest figure over the past 5 years was recorded in 2023, when 88,151 cars were imported into the country. And in 2024, the number of passenger cars imported in Azerbaijan decreased by 6.5% agaijnst the previous year and reached 82,434 cars.

Over the past 3 years, there has been a significant increase in the average price of passenger cars imported into the country. As can be seen from the table below, in 2022, the average price of cars imported into the country grew by 34.2% up to 35,540 manats, and next year - by another 39.8% up to 49,679 manats.
