January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Yerevan offers Baku to start mutual freight rail transportation, and the relevant proposal has been sent to the Azerbaijani side, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.

"We’ve suggested to Azerbaijan a concrete solution on the issue of opening communications. It takes into account the position of both Armenia and Azerbaijan. Taking into account these positions, we propose that Baku begin freight rail transportation from the western regions of Azerbaijan through the city of Meghri in Armenia to Nakhchivan, and in the opposite direction," Pashinyan said.

He added that Yerevan also offers Baku to start freight rail transportation from Yeraskh through Nakhchivan to the Armenian city of Meghri.

"In the future, with the appropriate atmosphere, we will start thinking about passenger transportation. We are waiting for a positive reaction from Azerbaijan," the Armenian PM said.
