January 30, Fineko/abc.az. Toyota Motor has taken the 1st place in the world in terms of car sales for the fifth year in a row, according to the statistics published by the Japanese carmaker.

ABC.AZ reports that despite the fact that company's sales decreased by 3.7% in 2024, Toyota sold 10,821,480 vehicles worldwide. This allowed it to once again surpass Germany’s Volkswagen and reach the 1st place in the world for the fifth year in a row.

The German company sold nearly 9.02 million vehicles worldwide last year, and its sales for the year also dropped by 2.3%. The 3rd place is occupied by Hyundai Motor (S.Korea), which sold 7.23 million cars worldwide - 1% less than in 2023.
