January 24, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump expects Saudi Arabia to agree to invest $1 trillion in the American economy.

ABC.AZ informs that he stated this while speaking via video link to the participants of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"There is information in many newspapers today that Saudi Arabia is investing at least $600 billion in the U.S., but I will ask the Crown Prince (Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud), a wonderful guy, to round up this amount to about $1 trillion. I think they'll do it because we treat them very well," Trump said.

According to a statement released by the White House press service, Trump had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on Thursday. This was Trump's first telephone conversation with a foreign leader since his inauguration on January 20, the White House noted. They discussed efforts to establish peace in the Middle East and the fight against terrorism. In addition, they touched upon Riyadh's "economic ambitions" for the next four years, trade issues and "creating opportunities for prosperity".
