AWS invests $5 bn to create data center in Mexico

January 15, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud division of American corporation Amazon, is investing $5 bn in development of its infrastructure in Mexico.

ABC.AZ informs that as part of the new project, AWS will create a foundation that will not only build data centers in a Latin American country, but also support local developers and educational institutions involved in cloud and other high-tech technologies.

Analysts estimate that the new 15-year project will create about 7,000 new jobs in Mexico and increase Mexico's GDP by another $10 billion.
