UK government invests 14 bn pounds in AI development

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. The UK government plans to expand the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) to accelerate economic growth and improve the efficiency of public services. The government has already started work in this direction. Thus, as part of the action plan on artificial intelligence capabilities to be announced, leading technology companies have committed to invest 14 billion pounds in various projects.

ABC.AZ informs that with the help of these projects, 13,250 new jobs will be created. The plan envisages creation of development zones and emphasizes that AI technology will be used to support solutions to issues such as the road problem.

The government has commissioned Matt Clifford, an artificial intelligence consultant, to develop an action plan to support the development of artificial intelligence and its application in public services.
