January 8, Fineko/abc.az. Moldova is encountering a serious threat of economic collapse because of a sharp increase in electricity tariffs and possible supply disruptions.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Alexander Slusar, a representative of the civil society at Energocom, as saying this on January 8 on TV channel Rlive.

In his opinion, the situation may worsen after January 10 due to increased demand in the region and, as a result, higher stock prices for electricity.

Exceeding the price of 140 euros included in the current tariff may lead to further tariff increases and, as a result, to an economic crisis.
