December 29, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, global car production grew by 2% against 2019 before the pandemic and reached 93.5 million cars.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the International Organization of Automobile Manufacturers, about a third (32.2%) of them are made in China, which is almost 3-fold more than in the U.S., the second largest manufacturer with a market share of 11.3%.

The car production in China is twice as high as domestic demand, which makes it possible to export a significant part of cars.

American company Tesla is the largest car maker in the world by market capitalization.
