December 26, Fineko/abc.az. Thanks to the professionalism of the crew members, 29 passengers survived. Our pilots were professionals, they had more than 10,000 flight hours, ABC.AZ informs, quoting AZAL president Samir Rzayev.

"The plane was completely repaired in October. There were no technical faults in it,” Rzayev said.

On December 25, an Embraer aircraft operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau. There were 67 people on board the aircraft (62 passengers and 5 crew members).

As a result of the accident, 38 passengers died, 29 people survived.
