December 20, Fineko/abc.az. American technology giant Amazon has entered into a partnership agreement with Turkish company Tezmaksan to produce 1,500 satellite components exclusively in Turkey.
ABC.AZ informs that production will be carried out in four Turkish provinces - Sivas, Yozgat, Tokat and Kayseri - and the first delivery is expected in the 1st quarter of 2025. Amazon plans to launch production of these components as part of its project to provide global Internet coverage through a network of satellites.
Amazon's decision to move production from the U.S. and Mexico to Turkey was made taking into account economic efficiency and local experience.
