In October, Azerbaijan ranks 93rd on broadband Internet speed

November 25, Fineko/abc.az. In October 2024, Azerbaijan ranked 93rd among 158 countries in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed (57.62 Mbit/s).

According to Speedtest Global Index, compared with October 2023 (30.48 Mbit/s), the average speed of fixed broadband Internet in Azerbaijan increased by 89%.

In October 2024, Azerbaijan improved its place in the ranking by 3 positions compared to September.

Singapore took the first place in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed (316.99 Mbit/s), Cuba took the last place (2.84 Mbit/s).

Azerbaijan took 54th place among 111 countries in terms of mobile Internet speed (55.90 Mbit/s) in October, losing 6 positions compared to September.

In terms of mobile Internet speed, the UAE took the first place (428.53 Mbit/s), and Afghanistan took the last place (8.54 Mbit/s).

In the reporting month, Baku advanced to 3 positions among 205 cities in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed and took 118th place (58.31 Mbit/s).

The rating of cities with fixed broadband Internet access with a speed of 327.63 Mbit/s is headed by Valparaiso, with Aleppo in last place (1.90 Mbit/s).

In September, Baku ranked 76th among 158 cities in terms of mobile Internet speed (71.54 Mbit/s), losing 5 positions compared to September.

Among the cities, Abu Dhabi took the first place in terms of mobile Internet speed (478.83 Mbit/s), and Herat took the last place (9.22 Mbit/s).
