Import of electric vehicles to Azerbaijan has increased

 November 21, Fineko/abc.az. The share of electric vehicles imported in Azerbaijan grew from 0.19% in 2021 up to 3.5% in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced at a high-level roundtable held by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in COP29 during the presentation of "The work done and the results achieved to stimulate turnover and improve the infrastructure of eco-friendly and safe vehicles".

The importance of Azerishig’s activities in the field of energy charging infrastructure and a single charging platform was emphasized. Currently, as a result of initiatives by representatives of the private sector, as well as Azerishig and other government organizations, a total of more than 300 electric charging devices have been installed," the Ministry stressed.
