October 23, Fineko/abc.az. Fare payments will be carried out with use of facial recognition technology based on new- generation digital signature SIMA at the stations of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY).

ABC.AZ reports that AzİnTelekom LLC representative Tamerlan Meshedigasanli made this statement to journalists.

He added that ADY has started joint work in this direction and it will be launched in the near future: "Internal testing of the system is currently underway. If the testing is successful, we’ll start implementing this system in the domestic market next year."

Meshedigasanli stressed that so far over 10 banks have joined SIMA, and another 6-7 banks are working to get involved in this system.

At that, he believes that accession of banks and non-banking organizations to this system depends on the level of their digitalization.
