October 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Indian authorities oppose further expansion of the number of BRICS participants. They support the strategy of increasing the number of BRICS partner countries that will not have the right to vote in the association.

It is linked with the fact that India fears the transformation of the BRICS into an anti-American association dominated by China and Russia.

According to Bloomberg, Brazil and South Africa also share this Indian idea. The agency was stated about this by the official representatives of the countries. South Africa is also against expansion of the BRICS by inviting Nigeria or Morocco there, which, as feared in the South African republic, will weaken the country's position.
