October 22, Fineko/abc.az. BMW leases space on the roofs of its two factories in Eastern Bavaria to Sunrock Holding Deutschland GmbH, which will install solar panels there and sell electricity to the automaker under direct contracts.
ABC.AZ reports that the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The solar power plant on the roof of the Dingolfing plant with capacity of 11.1 MW will become one of the most powerful in Germany. The area of the solar power plant will be more than 100,000 sq m. At the Regensburg plant, everything is more modest - 25,000 sq m and 2.9 MW.
