October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Apple has presented its latest generation iPad mini tablet powered by its proprietary A17 Pro chip.
ABC.AZ reports that the new chip made it possible to use the as yet officially non-existent Apple Intelligence. Also, the tablet can now work with the Apple Pencil Pro stylus.
The announced iPad mini is already the 7th generation in the line. Apple presented the tablet without a presentation, just by releasing a blog post. There are no changes except for A17 Pro processor. But the company reports that this update makes iPad mini 30% faster than the 6th generation.
Other notable details related to the chip include the 16-core Neural Engine, which Apple says is twice as fast as the previous generation, and GPU support for features such as hardware ray tracing. Notably, the A17 Pro is the same chip that was used in the latest generation of Apple's iPhone 15 Pro.
