October 15, Fineko/abc.az. NASA has launched the Europa Clipper aircraft to explore Europa, a satellite of Jupiter, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the U.S. Space Agency.
The Europa Clipper station was launched into space by a heavy rocket from private company SpaceX.
The main goal of the mission is to find conditions that could support organic life on the planet. On Jupiter, a huge icy ocean hides under the icy surface.
According to preliminary data, Europa Clipper will be able to reach Jupiter in April 2030. The spacecraft will make 49 revolutions around Europa, the planet's satellite. At that, it will not be present on the surface.
The device is equipped with scientific instruments and a telecommunication system.
Europa Clipper has solar panels, as well as an avionics compartment, a propulsion module and a radio frequency module.
