September 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and many innovative projects will be implemented in the next decade.

ABC.AZ reports that Taleh Ziyadov, general director of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC, said this today at a panel discussion within the Baku Climate Change Week.

He noted that the Baku port is the first "green" port in the region certified by the European Organization of Seaports (ESPO).

Ziyadov noted that the International Commercial and Maritime Port of Alat, thanks to the "green" construction, will also have a positive impact on the life of the nearest settlements.

"Imagine a city in which any cafe, restaurant or hotel offers you only organic products. It changes the whole idea of how we want to live in the future. And this project will be open to potential international investors," he said.

Ziyadov said that the entire master plan of the new settlement will be revised, and more than 70% of the territory will be covered with trees.
