Türkiye wants to return practice of subsidizing charters from Russia in low season

September 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkish travel industry has suggested that the Turkish authorities consider the possibility of returning the practice of subsidizing charter flights in low season.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the coordinator of tour operator PEGAS Touristik in Russia and the CIS, the tourist flow from Russia to Türkiye, especially to Antalya, could be less noticeable in the low season.

Fuel discounts to airlines and direct financial support for each passenger transported can be provided for this.

The mechanism of subsidizing charter transportation in Türkiye was in effect until 2017.
