August 22, Fineko/abc.az. Air Astana and Japan Airlines have signed a code-sharing agreement, under which they will place their codes on the new flight from Almaty to Tokyo. Its launch is planned for spring 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that more detailed information about routes and schedules will be announced after the integration of planning and ticket sales systems of both carriers.

"We are pleased to begin cooperation with such an outstanding partner as Air Astana. This will contribute to further strengthening of more than 30 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kazakhstan," says Mitsuko Tottori, CEO of Japan Airlines Group.
