July 16, Fineko/abc.az. Enterprises and individuals working in the transport sector transported 113.2 million tons of cargo and 967.4 million passengers for Jan-Jun 2024.

Compared with the 2023 same term, freight traffic increased by 4.0% and passenger traffic by 8.2%, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

57.9% of cargo was carried by road, 30.1% by pipeline, 8.2% by rail, 3.6% by sea and 0.2% by air.

87.7% of passengers were transported by cars, 11.7% by metro, and the rest by other means of transport.
