July 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the creation of an Electronic Competition Information System.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the decree, the ECIS will be created in the country.

The system receives and processes applications (petitions) from consumers and market participants in the field of competition and consumer protection, collects documents or information in real time from other government agencies based on requests, provides electronic issuance of decisions and information on petitions, as well as accessibility of information to users in these areas.

The functions of the ECIS owner are performed by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, and the functions of the operator are performed by the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision &Consumer Market Control (under the Ministry of Economy).

The expenses relating to creation and maintenance of the system are carried out at the expense of extra-budgetary revenues of the State Service.
