June 21, Fineko/abc.az. According to consulting company Henley & Partners, China this year took the 1st place in the world on the outflow of millionaires.

ABC.AZ reports that Top 5 of countries with the largest number of wealthy citizens who left also includes the UK, India, South Korea and Russia.

Experts note that the migration of millionaires is caused by increasing political instability in a given country or region, as well as economic uncertainty in the near future. Among the countries where millionaires from other countries come the most are the UAE, the USA, Singapore, Canada and Australia.

Last year, China also took 1st place, when 13,800 millionaires left the country. Henley & Partners believes that this situation is caused by uncertainty about the near-term prospects of the Chinese economy, which continues to recover very slowly after the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as geopolitical tensions in relations with the U.S. and other Western countries.
