May 20, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2024, the railway cargo transportation in Georgia grew by 2.5% year-on-year, reaching 3.2 million tons, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

12% of all cargo accounted for domestic transportation, 28.9% for international transportation, 59.1% for transit.

Over Jan-Mar 2024, 22.9% of the railway cargo sent to Georgia accounted for Azerbaijan and 53.5% for Russia.
