U.S. Commerce Department revokes export licenses for supply of Huawei semiconductors

May 8, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Department of Commerce has revoked several export licenses that allowed some companies to supply goods, including semiconductors, to Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei.

ABC.AZ reports that the companies received notifications from the Commerce Department on Tuesday that their licenses had been revoked, and the decision immediately took effect.

This step followed the release of a new model of Huawei Mate Book X Pro laptop with artificial intelligence support.
